Author Deborah Reber is on the phone. No joke.

Deborah Reber (author of more than a dozen books; most recently, What Smart Girls Know) is trying something new: she  will take your phone call about publishing questions. She writes:

This call is designed to answer people’s questions about everything from making space for writing in a very busy life, the ins and outs of getting published, finding an agent, what editors are looking for in proposals, marketing books, and the like.

Points of mote:

  • first Friday of every month,
  • Starts this coming Friday, April 6;
  • 3pm EST / 12pm PST;
  • recording each call and will email it to everyone on the sign up list the day after the call.

I am a writer. I write to explore childhood: literary essays and short fiction, journalism, and three haiku. My published work expresses my belief that everything which did or did not happen to me as a child is manifesting in everything that is or is not happening to me today. More importantly, it is also manifesting for my children. I believe funny is the new navel-gazing, and that the best funny keeps a penny's worth of serious in an accessible pocket. Little-known fact: I have a completed novel decorating the inside of a desk drawer. Perhaps it is not funny enough.
